Treating Complex Trauma: Integrating Theraplay and EMDR

Evanston, Illinois

9:00am - 4:00pm

5.5 CE credit hours

Treating children with complex trauma is challenging. Integrating two therapies, Theraplay and EMDR, can have a synergistic effect of facilitating healing in these children. Theraplay can facilitate the child's relationship with the therapist and with the parent, enhance self-esteem, attachment and affect regulation. EMDR can directly treat the trauma itself. Join us for this unique opportunity to learn from Glenda Villamarin, M.A., who is a certified trainer for both modalities and has a deep understanding about how to use them together for best results.
