Allyson Stephens


Allyson (she/her/hers) began her therapeutic journey by graduating from Southern Illinois University with her Master’s in Social Work. Allyson was at Trauma Behavioral Health Fellow through Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She has experience working with diverse populations using a trauma-informed model. Allyson always meets where the client is at using a client-centered approach. She is Level One Theraplay trained.

Allyson has experience working with children, adults, and families by helping develop coping methods to deal with external stressors. Allyson has worked with families on helping rebuilding healthy attachments, parent coaching, helping clients regulate emotions, and many more. Allyson’s goal is to implement Theraplay to help recreate positive attachments for the family and develop comfortability for the household to use skills independently. Allyson is very bubbly, empathic, understanding, professional, and takes this work as priority.
