Speaking with the Authors: Theraplay: Innovations and Integrations

This course is a primer for adapting Theraplay for work with specialized populations and for Integrating the Theraplay approach with other therapy modalities. Editors Rana Hong and Rand Coleman will lead discussion on topics related to several chapters of their soon-to-be released book, Theraplay®: Innovations and Integration. Contributing authors will present on topics such as the neurobiology of Theraplay®, men in Theraplay, and Theraplay delivered via telehealth. Examples of integrating Theraplay with EMDR, Gestalt Therapy, Neuro Physiological Psychotherapy (NPP), and Safe Sound Protocol (SSP) will be presented. Finally, contributing authors will discuss their use of Theraplay to support traumatized children, neurodivergent children, and those experiencing homelessness. Join us to stretch your understanding of Theraplay’s effectiveness across a variety of case presentations and get ideas about how to successfully integrate Theraplay with other treatment modalities.
