Cancellation Policy

This policy has been updated as of April 10, 2026.

For Level One Theraplay and MIM, Group Theraplay, and Level Two Theraplay programs (includes Level 1 hybrid and virtual Level 2 training programs):

The participant may transfer to a different program at no cost provided the transfer is requested ([email protected]) at least 72 hours prior to the start of the program. For cancellations made at least 21 days prior to the training start date, refunds, less a 3% fee, will be granted. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than 21 days prior to the commencement of a training, but a participant may transfer to another training program. Requests to transfer to other trainings will be honored for up to one year from the date of cancellation (with the amount held by TTI as a credit) and registration will be subject to rates applicable at the time of the transfer. The transfer option does not apply for no-shows and may only be applied once.

Theraplay Web Supervisions, Watching the Experts, and Theraplay in Practice:

These program registrations are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend a program for which you have registered, a one-time transfer will be available if The Theraplay Institute office at [email protected] is notified at least 72 hours prior to the start of the program. You may immediately transfer to the next available date if space is available or you will have up to 90 days to apply your funds to the next program (with the amount held by TTI as a credit). If you do not apply these funds within that time frame, they will be forfeited. You may transfer your registration to another Web Supervision or WTE, or Theraplay in Practice program once.

Web supervision and WTE participants who are using their first or second supervision free as a Level One or Module 3 participant may transfer their free access registration once but must provide 72 hours notice to [email protected].

Any participant providing less than 72 hours notice and no-shows will not be entitled to a registration credit.

Active Foundational, Intermediate, and Certified Theraplay Practitioner members utilizing their benefit may simply register for the next scheduled program with no penalty.

Note that one-time virtual professional development programs, whether live online or pre-recorded, are non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes any fees paid for continuing education.

For all programs:

You must notify TTI that you are unable to attend the training a minimum of 72 hours prior to commencement of the training event. If notification is not received at [email protected] by the minimum required deadline, transfers are not available. If you cancel your registration and log into or attend a program the request for a transfer or refund will not be available.

We reserve the right to cancel any training course, virtual or live, for any reason. Notice will be provided with as much advance notice as possible. You will be given the option to reschedule for a future course date if available or to receive a full refund of registration fees if TTI cancels a training program.

The Theraplay Institute is not responsible for any expenses (including travel) incurred by registrants if a training program is cancelled or you are otherwise unable to attend. It is recommended that you purchase insurance to cover your travel expenses should your plans change.

Transfer credits must be used within the designated time frames for each type of program, but may be applied toward any purchase made with The Theraplay Institute, including media and donations.
