Please note: The deadline for participants to request CEs for a program they have attended is 90 days after the last day of the training program.

Satisfactory Completion 
Participants must have paid tuition fee, signed in and out each day, attended the entire seminar, and completed an  evaluation in order to receive a certificate. Failure to sign in or out each day will result in forfeiture of credit for the entire course. No exceptions will be made. Partial credit is not available. An email will be sent to participants upon completion of  the course with directions for evaluation completion and certificate generation. For all virtual courses that offer APT credit, a post test will be sent out to all registrants due to receive CEs for the course. A score of 75% will be required to receive APT language on your CE letter and one retake is permitted.

*Module 4: Working with Parents in Theraplay Treatment (online) offers 4 hours
*Module 5: Treatment Planning in Theraplay (online) offers 6 hours

Social Workers (#* – see program hours at top of page)
The Theraplay Institute, provider #1318 is approved as a provider for social worker continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) Program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The Theraplay Institute maintains responsibility for this course. ASWB Approval Period: 3/30/22-3/30/25. Social workers completing this course receive (#*) continuing education credits.

Counselors/Marriage and Family Therapists (#* – see program hours at top of page)
NBCC: The Theraplay Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.6470. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit hours are clearly identified. The Theraplay Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Play Therapists (#* – see program hours at top of page)
The Theraplay Institute is approved by the Association for Play Therapy (APT Approved Provider #95-008). to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. The Theraplay Institute maintains responsibility for the program. APT CEs may only be awarded to mental health professionals. In-person trainings are designated as “contact” hours. Virtual trainings will receive designation as either “Live Webinar” or “Non-Contact Training” based on the following criteria:
Live webinars are defined as specialized online play therapy trainings where:

  • live synchronous instruction occurs in real time;
  • the presenter and attendees communicate with each other virtually;
  • are limited to no more than 50 attendees;
  • are a minimum of two hours in length;
  • attendees’ cameras must be on throughout the webinar; and
  • a post test is required.

APA: AffinityCE is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AffinityCE maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
