Angela Siu

is a Certified Theraplay® Practitioner and Supervisor. She is our first Theraplay Trainer in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience working with children and families in various education and clinical settings in Canada as well as in Hong Kong. She started to apply Theraplay principles in her work after her first Theraplay training in 1995 in Canada. Angela is currently serving as an associate professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has written book chapters on using Theraplay for young children with diverse needs. She also co-edited the book titled Play Therapy in Asia. She has published research studies on Theraplay in the International Journal of Play Therapy. She is working on integrating elements of music into Theraplay for children with social-emotional difficulties. Angela is the recipient of the Ann Jernberg Award of 2018.
