Pattie Horwitz – Oil Painter
Pattie Horwitz is a self-taught contemporary artist whose paintings feature vivid colors with subjects ranging from still life to landscapes, though her true passion lies with portrait paintings. She revels in the challenge of capturing the subtleties of a person’s expression and emotion. Working almost exclusively with oil paint, Pattie finds that this medium offers a level of depth and complexity that enables her to capture the texture, movement and soul of her subjects. Each of her paintings can take anywhere between 10-25 hours to complete, and due to a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis––primarily settled in her hands––she typically paints in 2-to-3-hour increments.
Pattie will be selling her original oil paintings and high-quality archival prints at the event and will be taking commissions.
