Anna Hart Turner – Hand-Embroidery Artist
Anna Hart Turner creates mixed media embroideries and textile art under the name Errant Hart. Combining materials and techniques in unexpected ways drives her creative process. She earned her BS/AAS degree in Fashion Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2012. In 2016, she began her art practice under the name Errant Hart out of her apartment in Queens. Anna currently resides in Chicago after living in New York City for seven years. She has taught hand-embroidery workshops, and shown her work at various galleries and art markets throughout New York City. In Chicago, Anna is an active participant at the Chicago Weaving School and the Apparel Industry Board Inc., and you can find her work on display at the Insect Asylum.
