The Theraplay® Institute and Board of Directors of TTI are pleased to announce the appointment of Mandy Jones, LCSW, RPT, JD, as the new Executive Director of TTI, effective November 1, 2021. Mandy has a track record of expertise as a Theraplay Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer who brings much experience and dedication to fulfill TTI’s mission. Mandy has served in a variety of functions at TTI. She has been a therapist with TTI since 2013 and came on in 2018 as the Training Director who oversaw and maintained Theraplay training locally and internationally. With her strong educational, legal, and clinical training, she was then promoted as the Program Director in 2020.
The Search Committee for the Executive Director and Board of Directors of TTI had rigorously evaluated many highly qualified candidates over the past several months and confirmed that Mandy is the most prepared leader who could lead TTI and the wider Theraplay® community.
Our organization has gone through a number of shifts in the past several years, including the unexpected challenges of a global pandemic (which is not yet over!). We’ve also experienced a tremendous amount of positive growth – including increased access to Theraplay training and services around the globe, increased visibility for Theraplay through research and integration with other therapeutic modalities, and services at The Theraplay Clinic in our own backyard of Chicago. The future of Theraplay looks bright!
Please join us in welcoming Mandy Jones to this important role at TTI. Mandy will be working closely with staff and the Board of Directors to meet the needs of the organization and to ensure alignment with Theraplay community stakeholders around the world.
