is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has been a part of the Theraplay community since 2013. She sees supervision as the primary place to learn and grow as a therapist. Growth occurs when therapists are able to identify their confidence and strengths, and – perhaps more importantly – express their doubts and vulnerabilities regarding their therapy practice. Julianna works to ensure that the supervisory relationship feels safe and free of judgement. She respects the practice of reflection as the foundation of her supervisory work, and integrates theoretical and didactic feedback in line with the issues at hand.
In addition to Theraplay, Julianna uses a variety of interventions adapted to achieve the desired goals of the children and families with whom she works, particularly Child Parent Psychotherapy. She has received extensive training on child development, early attachment, self-regulation and parenting, as well as issues of child trauma and exposure to violence.
